Royal Albert - Old Country Roses. Undoubtedly, one the most famous of the Royal Albert line of patterns to adorn dining room tables around the world. This pattern was designed by Harold Holdcroft in 1962, and quickly became the favorite of households and brides-to-be. The tea cup measures 2 3/4 inches high, and 3 1/2 across the top. The saucer is 5 1/2 inches across and 1 inch deep. This molded bone china tea cup and saucer set is in excellent condition, with bright colors and gold trim. There are no chips, cracks, fading or restoration. The word England on the floral backstamp identifies this as being an older piece. Many collectors search for Royal Albert pieces that are made in England, since the company now manufactures its china in Indonesia. |
