FABULOUS Aynsley Bone China Fleur de Lis gilt tea cup and saucer. The backstamp suggests this piece is from the 1920's and numberd 494J. The turquoise color, gold gilt and gold trim give this set a very elegant look. The rims of the saucer and tea cup have distinctive non-symentrical scalloped edges which is quite unusual. The cup measures 2 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter. The saucer measure 5 1/2 inches in diameter. There are a few areas on both the saucer and cup that are missing color. These areas look like they have scratches, but there are no scratches, only missing color. Both the saucer and cup appear to have an airbrush finish as the color in center of the saucer and the base of the cup is lighter, then gradients outward to a darker turquoise at the edges. The set is in good condition without any cracks or chips, and little to no wear or scratches on the saucer.
