FABULOUS Aynsley England tea cup and saucer - cobalt blue trimmed with fruit and flower cascades. Pattern number 6720 by John Aynsley & Sons. The backstamp is from the early 1920's. Lovely gold accents outline the large cascading design of grapes, peaches, pears and cherries - mixed with pink roses, blue morning glories and accent leaves, vines and flowers. Each of the five cascades is a different coordinated design. The cup measures 2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter and has a high D-handle accented in gold. The saucer is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The cup shows minor scratches from wear and the saucer shows minor cobalt color wash variations, otherwise the set is in good condition. There are no chips or cracks, and no pattern wear. FANTASTIC detail and color in this set!
