FABULOUS Signed Aynsley Jade Green England Bone China Tea Cup - J.A. Bailey. Wonderful rose bowl design exclusively hand-painted by Joe Bailey, who worked for Aynsley from 1937 to 1974. This pattern is not a transfer but an authentic hand-painted and signed picture. Some tea cups similar in design are not signed and may have been painted by apprentices. The cup measures 2 1/4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter, and has a slight ribbed effect. The saucer measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The saucer has a few dots of missing paint. It does not appear to have been chipped or damaged, but the areas may be where the porcelain was raised and now the color has worn off. Otherwise there are no chips or cracks, and no pattern wear. Pattern number C1033 by John Aynsley & Sons. The backstamp dates from the 1930s era. A LOVELY and rare artistic addition to your showcase!
