WONDERFUL JOHN AYNSLEY & SONS artistic creation from the 1930's. This vintage fine bone china tea cup and saucer set displays magnificent white magnolia blossoms with a detailed embossed scalloped pattern. This set is an absolute treasure - great gold trim, quatrefoil cup mold, and exciting detailing! The cup measures 2 3/4" tall and 3 1/2" across the top, while the saucer measure 5 1/2" across. In very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are a few spots where the transfer was not complete - a dot of no pattern colors shows. This effect is normal for transfer patterns. Gold identification mark 10BY on the bottom. A great piece from the the earlier fine works of Aynsley! |
