Vintage Crown Staffordshire Gilt Floral Tea Cup - Cascading Gold!
Crown Staffordshire Gilt Floral Tea Cup
$175.00 USD       Item 4-1082

FLORAL GILT bone china tea cup and saucer from Crown Staffordshire.  Victorian heavy gilt floral design on pastel yellow tea cup and saucer set.  The interior of the cup is FABULOUSLY DECORATED with a cascading gold floral pattern and center painted floral design.  The same pattern is re-enacted on the saucer.  A truly wonderful set from the artisans at Crown Staffordshire Porcelain & Co.

The cup measures 2 1/4" high and 4" wide.  The saucer measures 5 1/2" wide with a smooth round edge.  The backstamp on this piece was used from 1906 - 1930.  Not all of the early backstamps in 1906 had a registration number or the 'est. 1801'.  This cup does not have the 'est. 1801' on it, and neither piece has a registration number.  Both have the artist intial 'IY'.  I would estimate this to be an early 1906-1910 piece.  Both pieces are in very good condition, no crazing, cracks, chips or hard scratches.  There is some heavier yellow glaze on the inside ridge edges of the underside cup base, which I expect is from the manufacturer.
