COLCLOUGH soft pastel violet background wash accented with sprays of cheery violets. The footed panel ribbed tea cup measures 2 3/4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches across. The saucer measues 5 1/2 inches across. Minor wear on the rims.
Two sets of cups and saucers are available. The cup and saucer numbers on the backstamp read differently on each set. Please email me to let me know which backstamp set you prefer. The first backstamp reads "Bone China D 46 2 (cup), E 46 6 (saucer). The second reads H 46 6 (cup), H 46 7 (saucer). Both read "Colclough Made in England. A Product of Ridgway Potteries Ltd Patt. No. 8107". Probably circa 1970, when Ridgway Potteries became a division of Royal Doulton. The D 46 6 (saucer) has a unique backstamp that has the "g" in Ridgway dropped far below the stamp.
