LOVELY apple green tea cup and saucer by Hammersley & Co.  Exceptional rounded squared tea cup rim.  The tea cup has a thick gilt trim inside the cup, at its base and on the saucer rim.  The backstamp is green with acorn and crown Bone China, Hammersley & Co, Made in England.  The dating of the backstamp appears to be from 1887 to 1932.

The teacup set is numbered 4929/7.  The footed tea cup measures 2 7/8" tall by 4" across.  The saucer measures 6" across with a deep 3/4" rise.  The set is in very good condition with slight gilt wear on the thumb rest, a smudging which could have happened at manufacture, as there are no other areas of gold wear on the set.  A WONDERFUL set with simple elegant decoration!
